ABOUT

After successful event held in april 2023, riders will come back to beautiful Island of Lošinj again in 2024! Hard track with scenic views, good food, drinks and top notch accomodation!

The venue is located in VELI LOŠINJ, a medevial town with 1.000 inhabitants. Bigger town MALI LOŠINJ (8.000 inhabitants) is located 3km NW and connected with a regional road. Veli Lošinj is situated in a small narrow sheltered bay on the southeast side of Lošinj island at the foot of St. John's hill. TRACK

If you have already participated at last year’s European Downhill Cup opener on the Island of Losinj (CRO), you can confirm that such an early start to the season doesn't bring any disadvantages right there. The climate is perfect for racing and already on the way there it can happen that vacation feelings set in. About 300 sunny days a year and a finish area directly at the harbor, are probably optimal conditions for the European Cup to provide top racing action. For this reason, also this year the season opener will be held in Losinj, from 27th to 29th of April 2024.

The track starts at the top of the St. John (Sveti Ivan) hill above Veli Lošinj, and finishes by the main road, before the street section. So a bit different than in previous years.

  • Length: 1.3km
  • Height difference : 240m
  • Point of departure altitude: 245m
  • Condition: open for testing until 31st of March 2017, however, we are working on new sections and modifications so please contact us before visiting!
  • Lift time to summit: 15 - 20 minutes
  • Spectator access: along the track with entry ticket (hiking shoes are highly recommended)

The track is short but rough and rocky, with several big drops and jumps and a unique street section. It is estimated to be around the 2 min mark for the fastest downhill racers.
